Obituary of Marjorie McIver

McIVER, Marjorie Winnabell passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, February 13, 2023.  Born on May 1st, 1926 Marjorie Winnabell McIver (nee Mielhausen) of Lion's Head was in her 97th year.  Dearly loved wife of the late Norman McIver (2009).  Loving mother of Linda Edwards (Gord) of Chatsworth, and LeeAnne Detlor (Jim) of Barrow Bay and mother-in-law of Donna McIver of Brantford.  Proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Marjorie will be sadly missed by brothers Clayton Mielhausen (Goldie) and Murray Mielhausen (Barb) as well as sister-in-law Kate Mielhausen, brother-in-law George Griffiths and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Manuel and Laura Mielhausen, her sons Rodger McIver (2014) and Allan McIver (2021), siblings Arnold Mielhausen (Phoebe) and Ivan Mielhausen, brother-in-law Donald McIver (Helen) and sisters-in-law Mary Griffiths, Christina Billadeau (Archie) and Jessie Hodder (Austin).

Family and friends are invited to share memories at the Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted at the Church on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of remembrance to Lion's Head Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
