My sympathies to Jean’s family, she will be very much missed. I will miss her messages and have fond memories of childhood days visiting, and in later years Birthday parties and good times.

So sad to hear of Cousin Jean's passing. Our condolences go out to Irene, Tom, Cathy, Bill and Jamie and their families. I loved Jean's voice - she had a wonderful little drawl in it that was very special. We used to message back and forth and she would send me photos of her projects and her grandchildren.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Jean's sudden illness and passing. Jean was a kind and caring person, sharing love with her family and time and skill with the community. We fondly remember visits to the Hardmans' store in Gore Bay, handing in our film and excitedly opening the envelope of prints. Wilf, Jean and children show up in many of our photos from the 1980s-90s, especially photos of Christmas dinners with the Wismers in Silver Water. Our sympathy to Cathy, Bill and Jamie and the whole family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Jean’s Family and Irene & Tom:
I always enjoyed chatting with Jean - about her life on Manitoulin during summer and then twice a week when we’d all pile in one of our cars going to exercise class in Lion’s Head! I learned where Jean and Irene grew up on The Bury Road!
She showed me her stunning quilts she’d made and her immense pride was so evident in the beautiful Christmas gifts she sowed for her grandchildren.
Jean was loved by all of us. Such a kindly woman with a radiant smile and willingness to help any friend in need.
God’s Speed, Jean - your Heavenly Family is waiting.

I pray God comforts each and every one of you as you mourn and grieve her passing.
I and my family have many fond memories of growing up and living under the influences of the Hardman, Bartman and I must include the Hatt families.
What an upbringing we were all privileged to have had with our Pike Bay Friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Jean Hardman. Jamie, Bill & Cathy; your Mom was truly a wonderful person. As Irene says, she was so like her Mother, Aunt Lova , in looks and personality. A true volunteer; always putting others ahead of herself. Treasure your memories of her, and know that she will be with those she loved that have gone before her, and that she is not in pain. Thinking of you all.
