Obituary of Donna Wickham

WICKHAM, Donna passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 with loving friends by her side and many more in her heart.  Donna was a longtime resident of Colpoy's Bay, moving to her beloved cottage in 1962.  She spent her years roaming the Bruce Peninsula, quietly becoming an artist of known repute.  As her physical needs progressed, Donna moved to Kelso Villa in 2020 where she lovingly earned the reputation of 'Trouble #1' for her keen sense of humour and unique character.  Donna gave her heart and soul to her art, working almost daily until her final illness.  Her memories of time spent on an island in Georgian Bay, treasured artist friends and her love of nature and animals sustained her throughout her life.  She frequently stated 'I've had a beaurtiful life.'

Donna was predeceased by her family and many treasured friends.

Profound gratitude is expressed to the staff at Kelso Villa and the staff and palliative care team at the Owen Sound Hospital.

A priate interment will occur at Colpoy's Bay cemetery as per Donna's wishes.  Aarrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
