Rick and his family were tenants in my house south of Ferndale for almost 10 years. I was shocked and saddened when I heard of his death last Sunday; I knew he hadn't been well for a while but always had hope that he would recover and be with his 4 children for many years yet. Rick was a friend as well as my tenant and we often had long conversations about many things over the years, which I am going to miss now. His beautiful children Jada, Aaron, Aviva, and Jesse, who are missing him terribly, were everything to him, and he worked hard to make as good a life as possible for them. I am going to miss seeing them as well as they are moving to the Moncton, New Brunswick area to be near their grandparents (Rick's mother and father); I wish them well in their new life there.
