So sorry to hear of David's passing. Deepest condolences to all his family. As a long time friend of his brother Gerald when I did have the opportunity to interact with David over mining exploration companies or automobile conversations his warmth was unforgettable.

I remember having my fingers crossed when I asked David to come work with us at "Newman's in the Hartley". How lucky were we when he said yes. He was such a kind, gentle soul who connected with everyone who walked through those doors. A highly respected man who was a co-worker but more important, a friend. RIP David. You will be missed.

It was a sad day when I got a call that David had passed away. He was such a great friend for so many years and he and Susan were a wonderful couple and welcomed Linda and I into their home and Cottage on many occasions.
I considered it a privilege to be in the company of David. His integrity, honesty and intelligence were among the qualities that he possessed. He was a true gentleman and a loyal friend.. A huge loss to those who knew and loved him.

So sorry to hear of David’s passing…too young for sure. Beestons were neighbours across the back alley from our family in Hanna. I have very fond memories of David. He was an awesome guy…so friendly , caring and an awesome buddy to my brother.

Barb and I are saddened at the sudden passing of David. We knew him as a very creative woodworker who devoted his talents to the benefit of his friends and family. In particular I recall him making a bed frame using saplings at various stages of drying, combined with dowel-joint technique, resulting in a squeak-free bed. One of his most artistic creations was the floral holders he made to celebrate his Mom's 100th birthday. These were shaped from Brazilian walnut (which he acquired from his brother Gerald) and into which Susan installed tiny bouquets of home-grown lavender. Absolutely exquisite pieces. I believe he made enough of these for each guest to receive one as a memorial tribute to his Mom. David was a dedicated son who will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
