Rita was my first home room teacher when Centennial Hylands opened in 1967. She had such a spark about her. I loved running into her periodically in Shelburne and chatting.

My daughters have been blessed to call this woman Grandmother. A gift they received before they married their husband's, Jon and Matt. My Grandson will forever remember GiGi and her worm composter. Condolences to all.

Rita has not been my neighbour for decades but I still miss her as a Bayshore neighbour and friend. I have Rita recipes and she was such a creative resource for my visual arts lessons my last years of teaching. She remained so bubbly and happy with life and so proud of her family.
