Ronald Dietrich

Obituary of Ronald Dietrich

With profound sadness, the family of Ron Dietrich announces Ron's passing on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Owen Sound Hospital in his 78th year with his loving family by his side. Ron has been a long time resident of Pike Bay and was well known in the community. His kind, quiet nature endeared him to everyone who knew him. For many years, Ron could be seen every day when he took Samson, his cherished dog, for long walks on the roads and trails throughout Pike Bay. Ron was predeceased four years ago by his beloved wife Lynda, and earlier by his parents Herbert and Marjorie Dietrich of Kitchener. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Darlene Pett (Jim) and Marilyn Kudoba (Don) of Kitchener, Donna Rombough (Vern) Pike Bay and brother Doug (Sandy) Whiskey Harbour, as well as many special nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by special friends Jan and Bruce Ahrens and Penny English. Ron did not want a funeral or any fuss over him. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Interment Eastnor Cemetery.   Ron's greatest wish was that one day he would share a special place in heaven with Lynda and now that wish has been granted. Rest in peace Ron.

Private arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.  Expressions of remembrance to Owen Sound Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
