My family was blessed to rent the Georgian Belle almost twenty years ago and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship for all of us. Actually, my first encounter with Lynn was when I had to beg her forgiveness. My Mom had admired the Georgian Belle when we were up at Dyers Bay one year. After her stroke, I rented Lynn's charming cottage for her. However, it only held four people and I wanted my Mom to have her two granddaughters with her as well. Not yet knowing her strong faith and that forgiveness would come easy to her, I walked up the path to her home and explained what I had done. With extreme kindness, she came down to meet my folks and assured me all was well. Truly that day I felt like I gained an "Angel on the Bay", who had a lovely mothering energy which always soothed my soul. After she sold the Georgian Belle, Lynn introduced us to Audrey and Joanne and we were able to rent Villa Luce at Dyers Bay. Over many years, Lynn would come to dinner and we will treasure the memories of all the wonderful conversations we had over a bottle of wine..or two. She visited our home and more recently came to our cottage often. Personally, I will be forever grateful for her compassion and thoughtfulness towards my family. Lynn always called to check in or sent loving cards which I will cherish. Through many a difficult time she was the shoulder I leaned on for advice and guidance. I am grateful for our conversations about Spirituality. I know her body was so tired and her shining Faith helped to sustain her in as she had to cope with health concerns and leaving her beloved Dyers Bay. My Sweet Pea...I hope you and Betty are having wine together and Heaven is everything you imagined. I keep finding white feathers so I know you are sprinkling them down on me. You will always be held lovingly in our hearts Dearest of Friends. Sending heartfelt condolences to Shelley and Debbie and all of Lynn's beloved Grandchildren...oh how she adored you.
With Love,
Betty, John, Maryn, Rhianna, Peter and Laurie

My friendship with Lynn began in 1987 with a room consult @ my home. We immediately clicked and became fast friends. Tonnes of phone calls, meals out (complete with much laughter) and just being together through thick and thin for over 35 years were so special for both of us.
The last few years she dealt with several health challenges and at times was in considerable pain.
Thankfully now, she has been set free to enjoy being with so many people that she loved that have gone before her. My very sincere condolences to her daughters Shelley and Debbie as well as her many grandchildren --all of whom she deeply loved.
You will be missed, Lynn. Rest in sweet peace.

Dear Shelley and Debbie,
We were so shocked and saddened to hear that our dear friend, Lynne, had passed. We have known Lynn for over 50 years and we kept in close contact for many years. Our mutual friend Nancy and I were fortunate enough to have a lovely conversation with her just recently and she was very upbeat about her move and of course always very positive. She was one of the most caring, creative, classy and loving friends that we feel blessed to have had in our lives for so many years. We have followed her journey in Burlington And onward to Owensound, and of course enjoyed visiting her in Dyers Bay… We helped her name THE GEORGIAN BELLE. We were so looking forward to a visit to her new townhouse, and to see her magic unfold in her new townhouse… She had such a creative flair and I’m sure it was comfy and classy. We will be thinking of you both and your families and we will see you at the celebration of life in the summer. Your mom was a very dear soul and a good friend, and I will miss her terribly.
Love, Nancy and Norm

We met Lynn in 2006 when we rented the home she built in Dyer's Bay. We loved her instantly. She was so warm and friendly and caring. We rented that home every summer, and we always looked forward to seeing her across the road and we enjoyed our visits with her. Her kindness was extraordinary; each year as we were pulling out of the driveway at the end of our vacation, Lynn would come out of her cottage and deliver snacks for us to eat on the long drive home. Four years ago we bought the home that Lynn built. It is so sad to think that we won't see her when we're there, but we will never forget her. She was one-of-a-kind and she will be missed. Our deepest condolences to Lynn's family.

We’re sure there were many who considered Lynn their “best friend”. She was our parents’ best friend. So many visits, walks, talks, lunches, dinners, retreats, sing songs, road trips, story times…laughing all the time. Oh, that laugh. She loved to laugh and make you laugh. Although she was loved so much by all of us, she was a gift from heaven for our parents. We’re guessing they’re laughing again together, in their next phase of life. Bless her for all her love.
Our condolences, your Mum (and Nan) was a beautiful person.
Love,
The Baker Family… (Stephen, Anita, David, Karen, Harry, Dorothy and all the Kids)

I met Lynn less than a year ago when she moved into the seniors community where I live. She was always very friendly, she would stop to chat whenever she was coming or going. She was so thrilled to have attended her granddaughter’s wedding this year. I will miss seeing her.
My condolences to you, her family and friends. Elaine Ruhl

I have known Lynn since I was 12 years old. She was always an artistic, spiritual, gracious and loving individual, and when we moved back to the Bay in 2014, she was so welcoming. It was a delight to talk to her and just before Thanksgiving this year, she called to thank me for being a good neighbour to her. And that was Lynn...she thought of others, and always kept in touch...she was in fact the BEST neighbour you could have! We are all diminished by her passing. Condolences to Shelly, Debbie and their families....we all miss her.
