What can be said about Edward Anthony, born in 1936 and named after our two grandfathers. Ed was the oldest brother of four, our big brother in many ways. He cared about family, was a great brother/brother-in-law and a super uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was very sociable, made friends easily and was always up for a good time. Ed could barbeque meat from the St. Jacobs Market with the skill of a 5-star Michelin chef.
Ed was an accomplished lithographer by day and a talented musician by night. He worked in the printing business in Paris Ontario and Waterloo for many years. He was the leader of a band called The Wards Four which became popular in Brantford as a Saturday night dance band. He built a log cabin in Oliphant and spent many winters in Florida. Always making friends till the end, he was well-liked at the Lee Manor Retirement Home and was affectionately known as their Eddie Spaghetti. In the words of Frank Sinatra, Ed did it his way, his own unique way. We'll miss you, Ed.
