My husband Doug Dailey enjoyed a friendship with Bill many years ago. Bill always had a smile and funny story to tell. Doug loved seeing Bill's wisdom and creativity in action at this piece of paradise on Johnson Harbour Road. Bill was a big hearted, kind man who listened and showed up as real as anyone could be. He will be remembered fondly.

This message comes to say how sorry we are for the sudden loss of your caring Dad, Grandpa, brother, and friend. We pray that you will find comfort, strength, and peace from Jesus as you remember him.
I remember that when Bill was born, I became an Aunt at 7 years of age. That Elliott/Lutz family tie will always be there. May your memories bring you many blessings.

Dear Ken, Mel, Janette and all Bill’s family,
I am very sorry about the sudden passing of Bill.
Bill has been a very good friend to me (and my dogs) for several years and has helped me in many ways with jobs and maintenance work around my cottage.. Bill was “one of a kind” …. He was so clever and creative … a true inventor! He was always able to find a way to fix anything or invent something even better than the original! He loved his northern home and the area will not be the same without him. Bill will be missed by everyone who knew him! I am so grateful I had the privilege to know him!
Bill often talked about how well his kids were doing: Ken, Mel, and Janette … he was very proud of all of you!
Please know I am thinking of all of you and sending you heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely, Sharon O’Brien
