Ken Pallister

Obituary of Ken Pallister

PALLISTER, Kenneth George age 70 at Owen Sound Hospital on Monday January 6, 2025. Ken Pallister - son of Joan Pallister of Barrie and brother of Mary Booth (Bill) of Mount Albert and Jane Shannon (Richard) of Barrie.  Predeceased by his Sister Ann McNaughton.

Kenny will be lovingly remembered by his family for the life he lived as a devoted son, brother and especially as an amazing uncle (uncle Ken) to his nine nieces and nephews. Choosing to live for the last few years in the Wiarton community, he turned his focus to his lifelong love of sailing and being a part of the local marina community. Ken was born and raised in Richmond Hill Ontario. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked at a number of positions throughout his career mostly in the pipeline and power generation industries, living in various locations including Toronto, Calgary, London and Bruce County. His passions included being on the water, flying, painting, owning more computers than he could possibly ever use, keeping a vehicle in service for far longer than it ought to be, and especially pouring countless hours into his passion for family genealogy.

Kenny’s family would like to share their condolences with Leigh and Megan and their family for the loss of their friend and we would like to express our gratitude for the care and support you provided Ken over the last few months.

Private arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to the Wiarton Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
