WEBER, Louise Elisabethpassed away with family by her side at Owen Sound Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in her 88th year.  Louise immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1956, originally living in Grimsby and later settling in New Hamburg. Louise was proud to be a Canadian citizen. After working for Nith Valley Construction and residing in New Hamburg for 27 years she moved to Tobermory in 1990.  She is survived by her children David John Weber and his wife Wendy Weber of New Hamburg and Coosje Weber and her husband Peter Rasberry of Kitchener as well as grandchildren Dustin (Cornelia), Cole (Natalie Swartzentruber), Lauren and Sydney and great grandchildren Delayna and Carson.  Louise will be sadly missed by her siblings Jos Vandoorn and Jan Buitenweg, both of Holland.  Louise was predeceased by her parents and sister Jacoba Slob.A heartfelt thanks to the medical team at the Tobermory Clinic, Lions Head Hospital and Critical Care Unit Owen Sound Regional Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion in supporting Louise through her brief illness.Louise was a proud mom and always supportive of her children’s adventures and pursuits. She had a love of the water and this love led her to building a retirement home in Tobermory. Upon retiring, Louise became an active member of the Tobermory community. She enjoyed volunteering in tourism as well as in the local school. She shared her love of the area with tourists by welcoming them to her Bed and Breakfast.A private graveside service was held at Dunk’s Bay Cemetery, Tobermory.  A time of fellowship to celebrate and remember Louise’s life will be held at the Tobermory Community Centre on Sunday, April 22nd from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  Donations made to the Tobermory Medical Clinic, Lion’s Head Hospital or Owen Sound Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.  Condolences may be sent to the family through the link below.I would like to Send Condolences Back to Notices Home | History | Services | Our Facilities | Notices | Contact Us | Links
