Obituary of Helen Duke

DUKE, Helenof Lion's Head passed away at Lion's Head Hospital on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Bob for 62 years. Cherished mother of Lorri Duke of Waterloo. Special sister of Ruth Tackaberry of Lion's Head, Fern Carter of Cambridge and Norma Jean (Ron) Pineau of Waterloo. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents Thelma May (Whenham) and George Caudle, brothers Carmen and Fred and sisters Marguerite Hellyer, Shirley Bartley, Betty-Lou Caudle and Eileen Tackaberry.Family and friends are invited to share their memories at the DAVIDSON CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Helen's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Lion's Head Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
