Obituary of Pat Paterson

 PATERSON, James Newman 'Pat'Pat Paterson passed away peacefully at Amica in Markham on October 1, 2011. He was born July 18, 1914 in Wiarton. Pat is survived by wife Beverley and predeceased by parents Ewart and Lillie Paterson, sister Edith and first wife Mary Landon Cook. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Nancy (Eric) Morris, son Donald Cook (Pattie Macdonald). Proud grandfather to Bradley (Lara), Jennifer and Margaret. G.G. will be sadly missed by great-granddaughters Hannah and Erica. Lovingly remembered by Bev's family: Bradley Robertson (Sharon), Tim Robertson (Gaye) and Tracey Robertson. Pops will be missed by Jaimey, Mark (Ainslie) and Kate. Pat was President of International Artcrafts, Stratford, served in the Canadian Army during WWII. He was a member of the United Church of Canada, Tecumseh Lodge, Mutual Associates, Honorary Member of Statford Country Club and a 20 year Rotarian. Pat served on the boards of Stratford Hospital L'Arche and Perth Unit Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the staff at Amica Swan Lake for the care and compassion shown to Pat and his family, especially in the last few months. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE FUNERAL HOME Wiarton. A memorial service for Pat will be held October 27,2011 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow at Bayview Cemetery.
