Obituary of Wilma McLay

McLAY, Wilmaof Stokes Bay passed away at Golden Dawn Nursing Home on Monday, August 22, 2011 in her 94th year. Beloved mother of Joe (Sharron) McLay of Wiarton, Doug (Lois) McLay of Stokes Bay, Lois (Wes) Rydall of Lion's Head and James McLay of Whitehorse, Yukon. Cherished grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 16. She will be sadly missed by her brother Leighton Vickers of Wiarton, sister-in-law Annie Bartley of Dyer's Bay and special friend Alf Meyer of Stokes Bay. Wilma was predeceased by her husband George, parents Sadie (Gibson) and William Vickers, brothers Murray, William, Robert and Glen and sister Lenore.Visitation will be held at the DAVIDSON CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Interment Stokes Bay Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Lion's Head Hospital or Stokes Bay Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
