Obituary of Audrey Dick

DICK, Audrey Lillian (nee McLeod) of WiartonIt is with sadness that Audrey's family announces her passing on Thursday, June 9, 2011 in her 80th year after a short but feisty battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ralph for 56 years. Cherished mother of Arlene Jillard of Toronto, Murray and his wife Sharon Dick of Sault Ste. Marie and Marni and her husband Al Peters of Wilkesport. Much loved grama of Ben, Bethany (Chris Darroch) and Josh Jillard, Amanda and Rachel Dick and Chris, Stacey, Bryan and Greg Peters. She will be sadly missed by her sister Marion McLeod (Hugh Hanson) of Newmarket, as well as her many dear friends. Audrey was predeceased by her parents Lillian (Johnson) and James McLeod, sister-in-law Dorothy Goodrow and brother-in-law Donald Goodrow.Audrey spent her life in service to others and we are all the richer for having enjoyed her sense of fun, her beautiful gardens and her quiet unwavering faith. She believed in living life to the fullest and for her that meant family times, camping, canoeing, birding, music, theatre and church activities.Visitation will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Audrey's life will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 553 Gould Street, Wiarton on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Leggatt officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
