Obituary of Wilbert Pacey

PACEY, WilbertPassed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 in his 85th year.  Survived by his sister Janet Buck of Kitchener and sisters-in-law Eileen Pacey of Kitchener and Edith Pacey of Barrie.  Also survived by twelve nieces and nephews:  Joy (Bob) Steffler, Bette McCarthy, Diane (Bill) Clark, Marion (Guy) Tschirhart, Joan (Norm) Schwegel, Connie (Ken) Dietrich, Nancy (Rob) Becker,  Lois (Randy) Shillington, Myrna (Matt) Pavlik, Deanna (Forrest) Murray, Bob (Linda) Nixon and Janice Nixon.  Uncle Wilbert will also be missed by 22 great nieces and nephews, and 8 great, great nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his parents Wilbert (Bert) and Ellen (Caudle) Pacey, siblings Tom and Almer Pacey, Gert Poth and Bea Nixon.  He was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Carl Buck, Morgan Nixon and nephew Allen Pacey.Wilbert never married, but was active in the community.  He loved to curl, square dance and play cards.  He was treasurer of Christ Church Anglican, Lions Head, for over 40 years.  He lived on the home farm until he retired to Owen Sound in 2005 where he loved to watch soap operas and was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.Visitation will be held at Christ Church Anglican, Main Street, Lion’s Head on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral to celebrate Wilbert’s life at 2:00 p.m.  Interment Eastnor Cemetery.   Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada or to Christ Church Anglican, Lions Head.    Condolences may be sent to the family through the link below.I would like to Send Condolences Back to Notices Home | History | Services | Our Facilities | Notices | Contact Us | Links
