Obituary of Barbara Giefert

GIEFERT, Barbaraof Lion's Head passed away at Lion's Head Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2011 in her 85th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ted 'Daddy' in 2010. Cherished mother of Peter and his wife Yvonne of Little Pike Bay, Michael and his wife Nora of Little Pike Bay, Victor and his wife Joan of Lion's Head and Karen Lovell and her husband Steve of Hillsburgh. Special grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 10. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Victoria Gdanska of Poland. Barbara was predeceased by her parents.Visitation will be held at the DAVIDSON CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be vigal prayers at 7:30 p.m. A mass of christian burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Main Street, Lion's Head on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
