Obituary of Doris Elliott
Doris Margaret Elliottpeacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Lion's Head Hospital in her 86th year. Dodie joins her husband Nelson, who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her children Peter (wife Pat) and Susan, her sister Dianne Sutter, sister-in-law Eleanor McCulloch (husband Don) several nieces and nephews and many treasured friends. She will also be missed by her much loved granddogs Barney and Bobby. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Helen Thomson, nephew Alan Sutter, brothers-in-law Ted Sutter, Vince Patrick and John Carrick and sisters-in-law Marjorie Carrick and Kitty Patrick. Dodie loved needlework, musicals and figure skating. The Canadian team will miss its biggest fan! Most of all she loved the Bruce Peninsula. She and Nelson enjoyed many years living at their Lake Huron cottage and her family is grateful for all of her kind friends and neighbours whose support has meant that she was able to breathe her last breath in the part of the world she loved the most. A funeral tribute service to honour Dodie's life will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment White Chapel Cemetery, Hamilton. Expressions of remembrance to the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
