Obituary of Duncan Hewton

HEWTON, Duncanof Stokes Bay passed away with family by his side at Lion's Head Hospital on Monday, August 16, 2010 in his 84th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Mary Dale (Hawke) for 53 years. Much loved father of Julie (David) Henderson of Pike Bay, Kent Hewton of Owen Sound, Amber Brown (Dave Sohl) of Stokes Bay, Wendy McConnell of Durham, Troy Hewton (Lisa) of Point Edward, Mark Hewton (Cheryl) of Miller Lake and Mary (Jeff) Robbins of Stokes Bay and special grandfather of Matthew (Terri), Shea, Tyler, Stephanie, Kathleen, Tyler, Selea, Nathan, Jared, Brendan, Keeley, Austin, Kira, Kyle, Brooklyn, Cole, Jesse and Lexi. Duncan will be sadly missed by his brother George (Gail) Hewton of Brampton, sisters Ruth Heath of Nova Scotia and Frances (Al) Terry of Beaverton and brothers and sisters-in-law Norma (Orville) Stewart of Stokes Bay, Betty (Bill) Weatherhead of Lion's Head and Dorothy Hawke of Stokes Bay. He was predeceased by his parents Julie (Graham) and Albert Hewton, siblings Graham, Ian and Joyce Hewton and sister Faye West.In respect of Duncan's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or service. Interment Stokes Bay Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Lion's Head Hospital would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
