To the Schenk Family, The Schenk family name goes back to Walkerton for many years. The Hobley cottage was just 2 cottages away and that is when I got to know Ron and Millie and their family. When any expert help or information advice, in any subject was required, Ron knew the answer!! Ron and Millie both liked to cook and bake yummy desserts! They were a caring couple to family and friends.
Please accept my sympathy. Ruth Hobley

Our deepest condolences for the loss of Ron so soon after losing his most loved Millie. We are members of the Friendship Club where Millie and Ron were dedicated members. Always willing to volunteer for any chore and participating in all club functions. Ron introduced bid euchre to the club and thanks to this we have a steady income that keeps the club afloat. They were both excellent players and loved the game and passed that enthusiasm to all our members. They also introduced the annual New Years Eve party which was always well attended even in the most horrid weather. We will miss Ron and Millie very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Charles Beatty Sgt (retired) OPP Perth County posted a condolence

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the great pleasure to work with Ron from 1967 until he retired.
Within our own policing community at Sebringville detachment we shared so many experiences & moments together. Ron's ever famous expressions of "I'm from Missouri" & "Gilly the glue bird" have stuck with me to this day. Ron was the terror of every trucker coming into Perth County with truckers on the CB asking if the dynamic
dual were working Ron Schenk or Glenn Mueller. Ron would leave the detachment with a new book of tickets on each shift, if he didn't run out, it was a bad day. The competition of who could get the most liquor seizures on the weekends was fierce. The memories of being storm stayed at the detachment during the winter storms & the fierce
euchre games back in the kitchen of the old Station Rd detachment on the midnight shift. Officers on the 4-12 shift would often ride along with the 12-8 shift for hours into the morning on their own time. Ron showed me every parking/sparking spot in the detachment area & all the tricks of the trade. Along with all the officers who served alongside Ron, both those who have passed away & those of us now retired, will never forget Ron. He was a gentle giant with a laugh & smile not to be forgotten.
Rest in Peace friend & comrade.
