I am sorry to hear of her passing. Evie was a lovely lady.
She and Oliver were great friends of my parents, Stewart and Lova, and shared many happy times with them. I remember one summer in the 80's when they brought their trailers, along with Les and Elsie Hatt, to fish on Manitoulin and they spent a few days in our yard. I visited Evie in the Golden Dawn last summer and she was doing pretty well, had just given up knitting but still reading and then one day in December I went in and she had lost her ability to walk but was still happy to see me even though she kept nodding off to sleep. Now she will be at peace.
