Obituary of Ian Walter Hellyer

HELLYER, Ian Walter of Lion's Head suddenly at his residence Tuesday evening November 22, 2016 in his 60th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Hellyer. Cherished father of Ashley and Jenelle of Lion's Head. Missed by his sister Sandra Loomis of Chesley and her friend Gail Gilbert and his brother Jerry and his wife Mary Ellen of Lion's Head. Missed by his very special friend Kris Matheson of Lion's Head and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his parents Kathleen (Smith) and Walter Hellyer. Ian was kind and welcoming to everyone who crossed his path. Friends and family gravitated to him for his warmth and laughter. He loved his girls more than anything and found joy in playing music, going for a drive along the water and taking good care of his animals on the farm. Family and friends are invited to come and share his memories and stories at the Lion's Head Rotary Hall on Friday December 9, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family would encourage everyone to take a moment to write down their favourite story or memory of Ian and bring it with them on December 9th.
