Obituary of Alexander Perch

PERCH, Alexander peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home Thursday afternoon September 6, 2018.  Alexander Perch of Wiarton in his 96th year.  Beloved husband of the late Gladys Dorine Perch (nee Wright) (2011) for 65 years.  Cherished father of Ken and his wife Olivia of Bolton, Linda Martin and her husband Gerald of Whitby, Sheila Adams and her husband George of Bancroft and Robert and his wife Rosalie of Collingwood.  Loved by grandchildren Andrea, Ian, Greg, Robin, Gordon, Katherine, Michael, Victoria, Christine, Janet, Stephen, Paula, Doug and Tanya and 32 great grandchildren.  Predeceased by brothers Paul, George, Harry, Mike, Andy, Peter and Steve and sisters Kate and Nellie.  Alex, a veteran of WWII, was a Stoker First Class on the corvettes doing escort duty in international waters.  Family and friends are invited to share memories at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.  Interment Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
