Just reading of Bernices' passing, sorry we didn't make it up. Always enjoyed our visits whenever we could drop by, such a gracious gal. She has gone where we all long to go, to be with Jesus. She'll be keeping an eye on Norm.

When I was notified that Bernice had passed on I recalled many memories of the Shaw and Nixon families interaction during the 1950's and beyond. I have fond memories and a few laughs from those days. I pray that you are surrounded by family and friends and aware of God's presence as you say your good bye's to your mother today.

Your Mom was one of the first ladies I met at church when we moved to Lion's Head. I remember her saying that her name was "Bernice like furnace" with her characteristic twinkle. She always had a sparkle in her eye and a presence that reflected her relationship with her Saviour. She will be greatly missed!
