Obituary of Katheryn "Katie" Govier

GOVIER, Katheryn 'Katie' suddenly with family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Tuesday, July 9, 2019.  Katie Govier (nee Greig) of Owen Sound and formerly of Barrow Bay in her 89th year.  Beloved wife of Ken for 65 years.  Cherished mother of Perry (Heather) of Kitchener, Margie Northcotte (Dereck) of Shallow Lake and Jim (Kimberley) of Elmira.  Much loved grandmother of Sara (Rick), Brian (Jennifer), Koreen (Jeremy) and Tim and great grandmother of Dameon, Catrina, Tristan, Mattias, Shamus, Tessa and Clara.  Dear sister-in-law of Harold (Joan) Govier of Owen Sound.  Missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents Eliza (Graham) and Robert Greig, brothers Bruce, Melvin (Nellie), Frank (Iris) and Jim (Jennie) and sisters Janet Bridge (Ivor), Evelyn Hardman (Oliver) and Florence Lemcke (Ivan).  The funeral service will be conducted from the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head on Saturday, July 13th at 12:00 noon with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment Eastnor Cemetery.  Expressions of remembrance in lieu of flowers to Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
