We are so thankful we got to visit with Delmar and Joyce when we were in Wiarton this past summer. Sadly it was one of the few occasions we were able to spend time with them. Our thoughts and prayers to Joyce as well as the rest of the family. Bill sends his condolences as well. He had a nice visit with them when they stopped in Stratford last year.

Delmar...what can one say about a friend of 47 years? Family man! First and always. If you never met his family, you knew of them. Millar Lake? You got an education (including geography) on the Bruce Peninsula. He loved it and promoted it attributes. Welcoming. Never left his place on time. As a shipmate, none better. It was a privilege to have had so many years together. Hours spent talking of our families, our hopes and dreams (when we would be home with our families). He exuded confidence with an ability to influence others. He served with distinction, always with concern for "his ship" and its crew. His years of Great Lakes experience served him well and he was always ready to share his knowledge. All one had to do was listen or watch!
To Joyce and family, Rene & I feel your sorrow. He will be missed for sure, yet we all have enough memories to carry us through. The "remembering" has already begun.
