This lady was a beeken of light in my life..I watched the video of the Funeral and was reminded of so may memories of being in Aunt Ila's world...she always made you feel special and loved..time spent with the Nixon clan for my sister's and I gave us the knowledge of what family is. I choose to see the positive in life and people..I choose to be a branch on Aunt Ila's tree of how to live your life...she will always be in my heart!

Sorry for the loss of your mother. Mothers are the glue that keep the family together and after they are gone you realize, no more celebrations of special days at your family home.
Ila worked for my mother one summer when there was so much work to do on a farm and she was willing to do all the chores given to her. We shared the one room schoolhouse in Mar, she being in the higher grades. Also we were in the group, walking home together each day.
She will be missed by all who knew her, having outlived her entire family. God grant you peace knowing she will have her final reward.

I have many great memories of Ila walking quickly past our home everyday except Sunday to the IGA that she owned and operated in Wiarton, always with a smile and a kind hello. Her dedication, enthusiasm and energy for her work and family was immeasurable.

My goodness! So many wonderful memories I have of both your mom and dad!! They both couldn’t have made me feel any more loved and welcomed during the “many” weekends I spent at the cottage!
