I just learned of Don's passing today. I worked with him at Robin Hood Multifoods and found him to be a most likeable person. I enjoyed talking to both Don and Carol at Robin Hood reunions many years ago. RIP Don.

Dear Sandra, Susan, and families,
Casey and I send you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your Dad. What a shock to hear the news.
Your mom and the rest of the 'girls' from club and their husbands go back a long long way. Back to years of dancing to the big bands, marriages, children, children's marriages, grandchildren, and on and on. So much history.
I know many people think highly of Don.
May your memories bring you comfort.
With love from one of the club 'girls'' and her husband.

Dear Sandra, Sue and Dave,
We were so sad to hear of your dad’s passing. Our thoughts and love are with you at this difficult time.
He was a super guy. We had so many fun “club” couples events over the years. Your dad and polar bears had a memorable connection! He will be greatly missed.

Best wishes to all of Don's family.
I confess to hardly knowing Don, but was shocked to hear of his passing at our Church Board meeting Monday eve...like Becky, I remember his warm presence at the back of the church where both he and I have sat. He left an indelible impression of "being there"; always 'present'. With a joke, smile, handshake. Even shortly after his wife passed away. He is missed.

Family of Don - we were so very sorry to hear of your father passing away last Sunday. Don was a gentleman and we enjoyed his gentle and quiet nature with his involvement at the Allenford Curling Club - your memories will be with you forever as you say for final goodbyes to a life well lived. We remember his stories of his visit to Churchill to see the Polar Bears - he was thrilled with that trip. Covid has changed the way things must happen, thinking about you at this sad time- sincerely Lloyd and Jo-Ann Sheridan

Well...what do I say??!! This very very fine man, roll model, and true STATESMAN - with deep and loveable character - has gone on to join Carol.
Don was everybody's "buddy" and had a warm handshake and an even warmer personality that was second to none.
I will never EVER forget the fun we had for 3 or 4 years in a row when my band (Midnight Blue) was doing the annual Christmas Kitchen Party show at St John's United Church; from the back row, Don's deep voice would kick off the final verse of our instrumental GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN with a "two - three - four!!" [He'd jokingly tell his family and friends that "he'd done a few NUMBERS with the band!! LOL]
From ALL of the Nixon Family - many condolences to Don's Family, extended Family, Church Family, and Friends.
God Bless,
Dave Nixon

The first time I met Don and the entire family was in their yard in Binbrook getting ready to celebrate the upcoming wedding of my brother and Sue.
We were welcomed into the family. There was lots of love and laughter. The world has lost a bright light and the heavens have gained an angel. My condolences and hugs to you all. Karen & Joe (Filice)

We were so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He sat behind us in church and was always a cheerful member of our Sunday pew conversations- always with a smile and a chuckle! He always was glad to see our 4 girls and enjoyed playing with our youngest over the pews for high-fives or sharing her stuffed animals. We will miss his singing voice in our section of the church!

Our deepest condolences to the family. Don was a proud member of our team at Complete Wellness. We had his name added to our staff directory as “candy man”. He always stopped in to deliver us treats, smiles and stories. He was a kind hearted man! May you have peace knowing he is with his love Carol again! From all the staff at Complete Wellness.
