Obituary of Donald Wachnuik

WACHNUIK, Donald William suddenly at his residence on Sunday, April 11, 2021.  Donald Wachnuik of Wiarton in his 85th year.  Beloved husband of the late Carol Wachnuik (nee North).  Cherished father of Sandra Pitts and her husband Kevin, Sue Smulders and her husband Peter and Dave Wachnuik and his wife Tamara.  Much loved grandfather of Dan, Jordan, PJ (Sara), Becca, Kendra, Madelyn, Caidyn and Aislyn.  Dear brother of Eleanor Taggart (Len), Gloria Barnes (Richard) and brother-in-law of Lynda (Carl pre), Lida (Bob pre) and Nancy Hunter (Jim).  Predeceased by parents Margaret (nee Herechuk) and Nick Wachniuk and sister Albina in infancy.

A private family funeral service will be conducted by the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  A public Celebration of Life will take place when it is safe for everyone to gather.  Expressions of remembrance to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. John's United Church would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
