Obituary of Eleanor Fries

FRIES, Eleanor Lorraine peacefully at her residence with family by her side Thursday afternoon February 2, 2023.  Eleanor Fries of Wiarton in her 82nd year.  Cherished mother of Dana (Murray McLay) of Lion's Head.  Very special Omi of Samantha (Alex) and James (Natalie) and great Omi of Landon, Georgia and Bennett.  Missed by sisters Francis McGibbon, Kathleen Lougheed, Ruth Drodge and Bernice Drodge and brother Allan Bridge (Barb).  Much loved geneologist 'Auntie' to her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and far.  Predeceased by parents Rebecca (nee Wardrop) and Wesley Bridge, sisters Neta Rydall (Jim), Dorothy Lyons (Ronny), Mildred Lobban (Jim), Allene Rydall (Orville), Clara Wakeman (Ransom) and Betty Fosty (Bob) and brothers Carman Bridge (Cathy) and Larry Bridge.

Family and friends are invited to share memories at the Wiarton Propeller Club, Edward Street, Wiarton on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. with memories shared at 3:30 p.m.  Interment Eastnor Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
