I fondly remember Frances and the summer days I spent on Maitland’s and Francés’ farm when my mother and I lived in WIARTON. We met them in 1951 on a ship returning from England and learned both my mother and Frances were British war bridesmaids. As we all lived on the Bruce, we were often invited to the Warder family farms for social gatherings and enjoyed great meals and the very best homemade ice cream. I recall Frances taught me how to make yummy hermit cookie during one of my summer stays, I am truly sorry for your family’s loss of a dear lady, mother and grandmother. God Bless.

To Owen, Pam, Roy and Valerie…so very sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Mom. Frances was a kind and gracious woman, full of warmth and elegance. All of the Warders were very special to my Mom, Vera. We used to love to come up to Lions Head for Decoration Sundays at the cemetery, followed by lots of good food at the farm house on the edge of town. Both Frances and Maitland were always welcoming and engaging at these special family events. God bless her as she goes upward into the Light…with a hug, Brian Baetz
