We were good friends in Almonte High School. Bill and the Pakenham group of students were all well liked and enjoyed by those of us from Almonte. My memories of Bill are of a young man who was gentle, handsome and very important to me in those days.
Bill came to visit my husband and me at our home in Pakenham several years ago. It was a great pleasure to see him again.
His death is a great loss to so many people. My sincere sympathy to all of his family.

Bill was one of the first members of St. John's United Church that welcomed us in 2000. He was so warm and friendly and gave big warm hugs. I sat with him on the finance committee where I witnessed his dedication to the work and wellbeing of the church and its people. He reminded me of my dad. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Bill. You were a true gem of a gentleman.

So sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was my first boss and gave me a start in the profession of pharmacy. I learned a lot from him, especially how to treat people who came into McKenzie's Pharmacy.
RIP Bill, you will be missed by ALL who knew you.
Condolences to Mary Lou, Diane and Janice.

Dear Mary Lou, Diane, Janice and family's
Please accept my Sincere Sympathy for your great loss. Bill was such a great fellow and friend of everyone.
He certainly will be miss by the whole community. During our years of being in Business, I would always sweep
my sidewalk every morning. And there was Bill McKenzie, Fred Gilbert, Dan Fries, Cam Taylor and many more
out greeting each other for the day and also sweeping. Bill always enjoyed greeting everyone at any time.
My Prayers are with you all.
Your friend Pat Hepburn

Dear Diane ( I missed you at Summerfolk this year ) and Janice,
I was saddened to read about the passing of your loving father Bill. He was very supportive of me as a teacher and friend over the years. We would often catch up at Owen Sound Little Theatre productions as he was a great supporter. He was greatly involved in his community as well and will be sorely missed by many. I will not be able to attend this Saturday as I am to visit my children in Toronto. Sending you and your family much love. Shirley

Condolences. I have very fond memories of Mr. Mackenzie at the pharmacy when I was a child coming from the northern peninsula to pick up medicine for my grandmother. He was both a professional and friendly individual who made a very young person feel comfortable and accepted when I was in his pharmacy. His passing is certainly a sad milestone for the community. Condolences to the Mackenzie family.

To the family of Bill McKenzie. We are so sorry to learn about Bill's passing. He will really missed by all who knew him. He was a great person. He was so helpful to us when he had the pharmacy, checking out many things for us in his big book. Rotary was also a place where we all worked together and he was a great customer, along with Mary Lou at our store when we had it. We will certainly miss seeing him on the main street here in town. Please accept our sympathies at this sad time. YOu are all in our hearts at this time.
