To the Myles family, I just read Ruth’s obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. My first memory of Ruth was when she worked at Look About Lodge. My mom worked there at the same time. She was always so gracious. Take care.

We were saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. We had the privilege of knowing Ruth as part of the Country Church congregation. Ruth believed, as we also believe, that, "to be absent from the body" is to be "at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). Our prayers and thoughts are with the Myles family - Charlene, Murvin, Sheila and Sharon and families.
Prayerfully, Aimo and Irene

Sending our sympathies to you Charlene, Marvin, Sharon, Sheila and families in the loss of your precious sister.
We first had the honour of meeting Ruth in her 20s as a fellow student at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College. She was fun-loving with an infectious laugh, and often a guest in our home either as our friend or babysitter for our little daughter. During those college years we were privileged to accompany Ruth to Lion's Head on occasion. Ruth's gift of hospitality was God-given, but also acquired by watching Barnett and Rita's gracious giftings. Later, we so enjoyed being co-workers with Ruth on staff at People's Church where her gifts of story-telling, singing and laughter blessed so many children. We will always remember her sweet and gentle spirit and how much she loved her family and her Saviour.
Psalm 45:13 says "The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her gown is woven with gold." May your memories of Ruth and your sure knowledge that you will meet again, sustain you in the difficult days ahead. With our love and prayers
Keith and Lois Gonyou.

Those large home made cookies at the school cafeteria was some of Greg’s favourites. and it was a great treasure to help in the cafeteria. And the butter tarts at the restaurant at Ferndale where always the topping of a meal there. Ruth certainly was a cook!! Just seen her at Jason’s visitation after so long and she never forgot anyone.

Sincere condolences to the Myles Family as you sorrow for the loss of a dear sister and aunt. Ruth was a treasure in more ways than one.
I had the privilege of working with Ruth at Keady market were farmers and market visitors made a point of having their full course breakfast or roast beef dinner at Ruth's booth! They never went away hungry!
What a joy it was to have known her for many years.

Deepest condolences to the Myles family, Charlene, Murvin, Sharon and Sheila and spouses and families.
As a child and teen, I attended Spry Church and then The Country Church. Ruth taught us all so many wonderful choruses to sing, and I still remember some of them and sing them to my grandchildren. Give Me Oil in My Lamp, Keep Me Burning.
I know she will be deeply missed.

How grateful am I that I got to spend so many precious moments with Ruth over the past year. Know one loved her family more and she touched many generations with her charming, wonderful personality and deep love for many. I will miss Ruth very much as our time to really get to know each other was far too short. She had a gift for story telling and a memory that reached back with detail that can't be matched. She was wise, wonderful and will never be forgotten.
My sincere condolences to all,
With much sadness,
Laurie Myles

I am so very sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. Ruth was an amazing woman and mentor to me. I have many fond memories in the kitchen with Ruth Myles. From working doing dishes and waitressing at Ruth's Family Restaurant, catering, and working many hours at the school cafeteria. She taught me so very much. Ruth was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She had the most angelic singing voice. That heavenly choir is going to sound so good. You will be deeply missed, my friend. Until we meet again.
Sending my love and prayer to the entire family

Ruth was one of the kindest souls I have ever known, I often said that she had Aunt Rita's kind heart.
We grew up together in Spry, we shared a locker at the High School in Lion's Head. When she moved to Georgetown, she was a welcome visitor in our home,
Ruth recently chatted with me about meeting her parents and Keith and Dave soon. The world needs more kind souls like Ruth.
Rest easy precious soul.
